Construction began on the new Columbus High School in the fall of 2014 to meet the needs of a growing community.

Dedicated on March 20, 2017, the new Columbus High School is a modern educational facility that supports student success and community growth. With expanded teaching spaces (increased from 74 to 86), a larger gymnasium, auxiliary gym, band and vocal rooms, and cutting-edge STEM labs, today the school is home to a state-of-the-art STEM Academy that prepares students for the careers of tomorrow.

Behlen Mfg. Co. and the Raimondo family are proud supporters of this forward-looking learning environment, which plays a vital role in strengthening the future workforce of the Columbus, Nebraska area. Through partnerships such as the Columbus High School apprenticeship program, launched in 2018, students gain real-world experience in manufacturing while still in high school. This collaboration exemplifies the shared commitment to building a brighter future for the community and local industry.
