We invest in our builder relationships and take pride in our roots as a family business. We treat our builders and their customers with the same care and commitment shown to our own families and communities. In other words, we’re in it for the long haul and have been since our founding nearly a century ago in 1936.
Our quality promise is backed by action: we were the first U.S. manufacturer to earn IAS AC472 Accreditation.
Types of Behlen Builders
We primarily work with erectors, developers, and general contractors for whom pre-engineered metal building systems are a large part of their business. Our business partners purchase metal building systems (MBS) and components from Behlen Building Systems for use in their building projects or for reselling to third parties.
Our Authorized Behlen Builders have vast experience in MBS and are respected across the industry. They’re proud to receive Good Iron and a Great Experience from Behlen Building Systems.
Becoming a Behlen Builder
Becoming an Authorized Behlen Builder starts with a strong, collaborative relationship and track record of successful Behlen building projects.
Once established, we may offer a formal agreement. (Note: Builders are independent contractors, not agents of Behlen Building Systems.)
Newly signed Behlen Builders receive marketing collateral and other marketing support to help build their business. They also become eligible for our co-op advertising program, business growth opportunities, recognition, and visibility through our network. Additionally, Behlen Builders can gain access to AirBuildr quoting software with special, discounted pricing on low-complexity PD8 buildings automatically included.
Working Together
Our metal building system projects mostly follow a “Design-Build” approach, though we also support “Design-Bid-Build.”
From the first quote to final delivery, we collaborate closely with our builders. Leads from our website are shared with qualified builders to help grow their business.
For complex projects, or when more details are needed, we bring the builder, engineer, and District Manager together for detailed project reviews to ensure the project is delivered accurately and on time.
Once an order is placed, a dedicated District Manager and Customer Service Rep guide the process through delivery.
