Buffalo County Fairgrounds Expo Center
The Buffalo County Exposition Center is a modern, multi-purpose facility located in Kearney, Nebraska. Completed in November 2010, the center was constructed after a tornado devastated the original exposition building on May 29, 2008. BD Construction was awarded the project in July 2009 and led the development of this vital community hub.
Spanning approximately 105,000 square feet, the center supports a wide range of events, from the annual Buffalo County Fair to trade shows, livestock exhibitions, and private rentals. The facility offers flexibility, functionality, and comfort, featuring both paved and dirt-floor arenas, meeting rooms, concessions, and more.
The rebuild of the Exposition Center marked a turning point for the community, not only restoring a critical event space but enhancing it with modern amenities and greater versatility. The new design includes upgrades the original facility lacked, such as full enclosure of the East Arena, improved climate control, and a layout better suited to year-round, large-scale events.
The Buffalo County Exposition Center is a testament to community resilience and forward-thinking investment in public spaces. Today, it stands as a premier destination for regional events and a cornerstone of the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.
